Genocide Awareness Lecture

Genocide Awareness Lecture poster

This poster was designed to promote an annual lecture on genocide awareness and prevention for the Cohen Center.

The Cohen Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies is a leading educational center devoted to the memory and study of the Holocaust and genocide. It’s work comes with the hope that present and future generations take responsibility for building a world free of antisemitism, intolerance, and hate. Keene State is the first institution in the United States to offer a major in this field of study.

Graphic Design: Invitations & Promotions

Let’s make invitations and promotional brochures friendly and warm when appropriate, and compelling always. I strive for simplicity in the graphic design so your audience quickly absorbs your main message in a matter of seconds.

I designed and produced each of these pieces. On most, I also collaborated on concept, art directed photography, and coordinated print purchasing.

Graphic Design: Identity

You don’t always need a logo for a strong identity. But you do need clear, consistent messaging.

I designed logos for the Cohen Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies and the Redfern Arts Center. Then we produced letterhead, invitations, business cards, posters, and banners.

For the Monadnock Summer Lyceum, it’s the type treatment and the illustrated mountain that defines identity. You can see their brochure and poster here.

Graphic Design: Magazines

Keene State Today is a quarterly alumni magazine for Keene State College. My role for many years included art director, designer, photographer, and print buyer. In this gallery you will find a number of covers, as well as sample editorial spreads.

Before Keene State Today, I was the art director for Collectibles Illustrated, published by Yankee Publishing, and was assistant art director on numerous publications. See my design resume here.

Graphic Design: The Viewbook

The Viewbook is a major recruiting tool for colleges and universities. It’s a story about the campus and the people who work and learn there. Working with an editorial staff, we researched student, faculty, and staff stories and presented them to many audiences in print and on the web. I art directed most of the photo shoots and designed and produced the Viewbook, as well as a package of other admissions recruitment pieces each year. This issue ran 40 pages, plus covers.

I was happy to have the opportunity to work with a number of  photographers, whose work is featured throughout.
